Please remember as you share the multi-purpose trails in the Lake County Forest Preserves with others who want to enjoy the outdoors, please follow these rules of common sense and courtesy:

[o] Ride and walk on the right.
[o] Allow space on the left for others to pass.
[o] Alert others when passing from behind.
[o] Control Speed!
[o] Use caution around horses.
[o] Keep to marked trails.
[o] Collecting is prohibited.
[o] Littering is prohibited.
[o] And please - Leash and pick-up after your pet.

Trail Rules of the Road

[o] Bicycles should Yield to Horseback Riders.
[o] Bicycles should Yield to Skiers and Hikers.
[o] Horseback Riders should Yield to Skiers and Hikers.
[o] No Swimming, Hunting, Collecting, Firearms and Off-Road Vehicles are permitted.
[o] State Fishing Regulations Apply.
[o] Permits are required for Horseback Riding.
[o] Park only in the Parking Lots.
[o] Picking and Collecting are Prohibited.
